We have identified the issue that was causing the connectivity problem. We have worked with our networking team to ensure that it has been corrected.

Network Issues (Resolved)

We detected a series of intermittent network issues and were able to trace these back to a DDOS attack. This has been isolated and the majority of services have returned to normal operating status.

Centro Network Issue (Resolved)

The vendors of our networking equipment (Juniper) are involved in restoring service on our core switches. As routing interfaces will not come back up they are advising an emergency firmware update which unfortunately will involve a further 15-20 minutes.

Update 1
Our Centro network should now be back online. We're still checking through and will then get an RFO from our network engineers with details of todays problem.

Apologies for this inconvenience. We are working with Juniper to obtain a fix for the problems this week and achieve long term stability on the network.

Update 2
We will be starting the required maintenance shortly at 23:00 BST.

During the upgrade period, which should last anywhere between 10 minutes and 25 minutes, connectivity to services will be disrupted.

We will provide an all-clear once this necessary work has been completed.

Update 3
The firmware updates were completed to schedule with total network downtime on our Centro network being approx 10 minutes.

We have been informed that with this new firmware the issues seen over the last few days should be resolved. I can also confirm that our core switching is operating as a redundant pair again.

Thanks again for your patience during this time.

Possible Network Issue (Resolved)

The cause of the issue is still as yet unknown but our network equipment vendors are onsite and looking for the exact problem at this time.

Update 1
The network has now recovered and we have taken various steps to prevent this from re-occurring whilst the issue is investigated by our network vendor.

Update 2
The "Reason For Outage" (RFO) can be found below:

We became aware of a network issue around 13:30PM BST. This issue was a similar issue to the LACP problems we saw on Monday which appears so far to be a problem with the firmware on these routers.

In an attempt to mitigate the previous problem we have been seeking advice from the network vendor, however in the interim the issues have cropped up again forcing us to escalate this issue with the utmost urgency.

We understand that these problems are inconvenient. We will continue to work with the network vendor to resolve this issue.

We will continue to monitor the situation.
